35th Potato Festival of Zungri

In the heart of the Altopiano del Poro, the village of Zungri is ready to celebrate one of its most precious treasures. On Sunday, August 17th, starting at 8:00 PM, Piazza Umberto will come alive for the 35th edition of the Potato Festival.

The Star: The Potato of Zungri

The potato is one of the flagship products of the Poro area, especially Zungri. Here, the sandy soil and unique climatic conditions favor the cultivation of this tuber, giving it an unmistakable taste and texture. As the organizers say, it "identifies Zungri just like the olive oil and the suriaca": not just a simple side dish, but an excellence that tells the agricultural history of the territory.

Food and Drink during the Festival

During the evening, the food stand will be entirely dedicated to the potato, presented in a variety of traditional recipes that highlight its quality. Get ready for a tasting journey that will help you rediscover this humble yet delicious ingredient in all its forms. Complementing the experience, you will also find tastings of other typical products from the Zungri area, such as extra virgin olive oil and “suriaca” (beans), all accompanied by excellent local wine.
